likeamillionbucks asked: Warm weather in New England is coming up, and I'm really looking forward to getting some obnoxious pastels... but I'm worried that I might go overboard and go into "trying too hard" territory. What's the trick to getting colored without coming off as gaudy?

Sorry, I didn’t answer sooner. I haven’t been too active on here as of late. Obnoxious pastels are a great thing. They say a ton of things about the person wearing them. My favorite/most obnoxious pastel item I own are my pink RL chinos. Believe it or not, my grandma talked me into getting them. Whenever I wear them, or something similar, I try not to do too much else that will take away from them. I keep the other colors solid and not overbearing. For instance, I generally wear a white linen shirt and some boat shoes. There’s always gonna be people that think you’re trying too hard…fuck em. Hope this helps. Appreciate the question as it was my first I’ve ever gotten. Oh, and make sure the item fits well.
